The cyclopeptide kB7-OT1 was designed using the kalata B7 loop 3 as template. The oxytocin analog turned out to be a selective agonist at the oxytocin receptor capable to intact human myometrium in the submicromolar range, neglecting other subtype related receptors (i.e. V1a, V1b and V2 receptors) at concentrations higher than 10 μM.
